The process:
PHX is an Amsterdam based global solutions hub, joining investors and startup founders in serendipitous, transformational events to bring big ideas, and even bigger solutions, to life. This time, PHX partnered with Techleap NL, a connection hub for Dutch startups, investors and community builders, and the city of Rotterdam to evolve the Dutch and European tech ecosystems. A second event followed in November, to gather the network again at Slush in Helsinki.
We created a warm, intimate container for some of Europe’s biggest players in the tech sectors to gather, share ideas, and connect on a deeply human level.
From receipt of the invitation to the ceremonial close of the event, guests are immersed in a mystical world of elegance, fantasy, and prophecy.
Our goal was to create a unique, consciousness expanding container for a curated guest list to connect, share ideas, and leave feeling enriched and inspired. It all starts from the invitation: a meaningfully designed graphic, with a poem that opens the portal…
In traditional tarot, The Sun card portends good fortune, happiness, joy and harmony. It represents the universe coming together and agreeing with your path and aiding forward movement into something greater. This was our north star for the immersive dinner concept for Soleil in Rotterdam.
From entry to the closing fire ritual, guests were fully immersed in a poetic evening of surprise and delight, a 3-course meal by a 5 star chef, specially designed cocktails, and guided, heart-expanding conversation, while connecting startup founders with potential investors and advisors.
A DJ and live musicians jammed, creating a powerful collaborative container, while delicious wine flowed, until the night crested into the final ritual of the evening: a fire dance, wherein guests were encouraged to make a prayer or manifestation, carrying the dynamic energy of the evening forward and outward.
Over 60 startup founders and VCs were present, forging powerful connections for the next generation of great Dutch entrepreneurial ideas.
For Helsinki, we balanced Soleil and none other than La Lune: the moon. A sensual evening gave respite from the Helsinki winter, complete with high quality wines and cocktails, and traditional Nordic fare.
The moon is a feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. The phases of the moon symbolize immortality and eternity, enlightenment or the dark side of Nature herself. It is a symbol of intuition, dreams, and the unconscious.
The night holds untold stories, secrets and mysteries, connecting deeply to our subconscious streams.
